1776 Ewe S. A. Make-do

A sweet wool ewe upon an old hardwood beehive bobbin. When viewing the make-do from either side, the two flags have been stitched together so while hanging vertically, the stars (Union) are in the upper left-hand corner, as the proper way to display the American flag. The hangtag is attached to an actual U.S. Army uniform button. This 1776 Ewe S. A. Make-do is a nice addition to a Primitives or Americana collection.
